About The Position

A Loader places cabinets and parts into a trailer using hand dollies and pallet jacks, ensuring that the load is correct and secure for transport. The role also involves packaging cabinets while moving down the assembly line and using a strapping machine to secure boxes for loading. The position works indoors in conditions that may include excessive heat, humidity, and cold. Safety gear, including safety glasses and gloves, is required. Noise levels are usually moderate to high. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.

Requirements

Follow all handling, staging, and loading requirements.
Identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, and color variances.
Use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure.
High school diploma or GED.
Walk and stand for extended periods.
Frequently bend, crouch, pull, and push.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Load cabinets into trailers according to handling, staging, and loading requirements.
Package cabinets on the assembly line and use a strapping machine to secure boxes for loading.
Use the scanning system to ensure the correct components are assembled.
Interpret production labels and accurately scan cabinets and parts.
Occasionally use a pallet jack to move skids of parts for loading.
Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping.
Perform other duties as assigned.
