About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position to teach the course "Paléogéographie du quaternaire" (GEG3706/GEO2734, Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester. The course covers the scope of climate change, its impacts on the planet's environment, the glacial-interglacial cycle, methods for analyzing environmental changes, paleobiogeography, and geomorphological evolution. The expected enrollment is 25 students, and the course is worth 3 credits. The language of instruction is French, with passive competence in a second language required. The course schedule is Monday 8:30-10:00 and Thursday 10:00-11:30, and it will be delivered in person. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in geography.
  • Experience in teaching practical field labs in the Outaouais.
  • Good knowledge of the Quaternary period in the Outaouais.
  • An acceptable level of education/experience could be viewed as equivalent to the required education and/or demonstrated experience.
  • Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
