About The Position

This position is for an instructor to teach Human Anatomy and Physiology I (ANP 1105) during the Fall 2026 semester. The course covers tissue and cell morphology, biochemistry of the cell, and physiological concepts such as diffusion, osmosis, and membrane transport mechanisms. It also includes the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular, blood, lymphatic, and respiratory systems, along with an introduction to control mechanisms like homeostasis, and the nervous and endocrine systems. The instructor will be responsible for providing questions for the final exam and managing the course website on Brightspace for posting lecture slides and communicating with students.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in health sciences, biology, physiology or biochemistry, or MD degree.
  • Prior experience (past three years) in teaching physiology (or anatomy and physiology) to large classes (over 50 students) of undergraduate students (first year).
  • Familiarity with handling Brightspace for posting lecture slides and communicating with students outside the classroom.

Nice To Haves

  • Recent prior experience (past three years) in teaching the cellular physiology of excitable cells.
  • Experience in course web site administration using Brightspace.

Responsibilities
