About The Position

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Paintshop Helper with some previous painting experience and familiarity using a grinder for surface preparation. This position is suited to someone with basic hands-on experience who takes pride in quality work, follows safety procedures, and is willing to learn. The helper prepares surfaces, assists with painting tasks, inspects work, and maintains an organized work area while following workplace safety and equipment-handling procedures.

Requirements

• Some previous painting experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of grinder operation and surface preparation.
• Comfort using hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces before painting, including grinding and removing imperfections.
• Safely operate a grinder and other basic surface-preparation tools.
• Assist with painting tasks to help achieve an even, quality finish.
• Clean and prepare surfaces by removing rust, debris, and excess material as needed.
• Inspect work to ensure surfaces are properly prepared and meet quality expectations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow workplace safety guidelines and proper equipment-handling procedures.
