About The Position

The Helper, based in Winchester, Kentucky, performs essential heat-treatment job functions under the direction of the Plant Manager to meet customer specifications and assists other employees as needed. The role handles customer inventory and requires safe, responsible work to prevent loss or damage. It is considered safety-sensitive due to the industrial nature of the business. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with full-time work of 40 or more hours per week. Overtime or other shifts, including weekends, may be required. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of basic math.
Ability to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to stand for extended periods in an industrial environment.
Manual dexterity to perform data-entry functions.
Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical.
Ability to work full-time, 40 or more hours per week.

Responsibilities

Prepare work for processing, including cleaning, painting, wiring, and fixturing.
Load and unload furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, and related items.
Stack and load parts in customer bins or containers.
Promptly bring unusual problems, irregularities, or concerns to the Heat Treater, Foreman/Lead Person, or management.
Practice and promote safety and good housekeeping.
Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by the position.
Safely and responsibly care for customer inventory to prevent loss or damage.
Report to work on time, follow directions and rules and procedures, interact effectively with coworkers, and accept constructive criticism.
