About The Position

The Painter performs paint-related duties throughout the property. The role requires working knowledge of painting, applying texture, preparing areas for painting, basic stucco and efface repairs, and wallpaper repairs. The Painter also performs drywall taping and mudding, furniture refinishing, and related maintenance work. Work orders are completed using a computer-based program, and the role requires communicating progress, identifying parts and inventory needs, following safety and company standards, and supporting customer satisfaction and team morale.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• One year of experience, preferably in a hotel or casino environment.
• Working knowledge of paint, wallpaper, and drywall.
• Ability to tape and mud all drywall surfaces.
• Ability to identify and color-match paint as needed.
• Ability to paint, apply textures, and prepare areas for painting.
• Ability to perform basic stucco and efface repairs.
• Basic wallpaper techniques.
• Basic furniture refinishing and color matching.
• Knowledge of drywall taping and texturing techniques.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Flexible, detail-oriented, able to prioritize, and able to multitask effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with multiple distractions and meet timelines.
• Ability to uphold appearance standards.
• Ability to problem-solve and strategize better solutions.
• Normal or corrected vision, ability to see color, and ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
• Manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods and perform job duties involving standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping.

Responsibilities

• Maintain or apply various types of paint and perform related duties.

• Use personal hand tools and company-owned power tools in daily work.
• Complete assigned work orders promptly through a computer-based program.
• Communicate work-order details effectively and follow up through completion.
• Notify supervisors of parts and inventory needs.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Follow lawful direction from upper management.
• Understand and follow work and safety rules and procedures.
• Interact well with others and positively influence team member morale.
