About The Position

A Painter for Bastian Automation will be responsible for general painting of material handling equipment projects. The main emphasis for this position is producing high quality and exceptional painting of various equipment that meets the required mil thickness per the specifications of the project. Other duties will include assembly and fabrication of other projects as well as general repair and maintenance of Bastian Automation shop equipment.

Requirements

• High School diploma (or equivalent) plus 1 year of wet paint experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, repetitively
• Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship
• Employees must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report any suspected security incidents to support our information security controls

Nice To Haves

• Relevant painting experience preferred
• Positive attitude, able to handle tense situations that arise
• Team player, able to take direction
• General knowledge of paint guns, paint boots, and paint accessories

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality painted parts from blueprints with low rejection rate
• Paint prep using sanding and grinding tools along with assorted chemicals
• Keep work space in a neat and organized order

• Maintain a positive attitude
• Follow safety protocols per JSA (Job Safety Analysis)
