About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation, a global leader in lift truck manufacturing, is seeking a Painter for its 2nd shift operations. This role involves operating paint equipment, preparing parts for painting, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to work with various tools and materials, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be able to maintain upright position for 8-hour shift.
  • Frequently lifting and carrying up to 40lbs.
  • Must be able to see, hear, and do simple but firm grasping with both hands.
  • Must be able to work in an environment that is moderately noisy and includes exposure to dust, solvents, grease, oil, and paints.
  • Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and work in areas of lift truck traffic.
  • Must be able to read, understand drawings and production order travelers.
  • Must be able to listen, communicate and understand verbal instructions.
  • Must understand basic math, including decimals.
  • Must be able to remember, reason and analyze situations.
  • May require a valid driver’s license.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up, adjusts, and operates paint guns, regulators, paint pumps, and pressure gages per work instructions, prints, D-sheet and /or production order specifications.
  • Properly load/unload parts on conveyor line with assistance of a lift truck (as necessary) per work instruction, prints, D-sheets and/or production order specifications.
  • Repair/rework parts to meet quality specifications using Bondo, rubbing compound and polishes per work instructions, prints, D-sheets, and /or productions order specifications.
  • Move materials using lift trucks, hoist, and bridge crane.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Refill and dispose of empty paint barrels.
  • Notify Supervisor or Group Leader of any safety, quality, or production issues as they occur.
  • Train operators as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
