About The Position

The Painter Helper assists painters in preparing wood and metal surfaces for painting and painting equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other work areas using spray guns, brushes, and rollers. The role follows work orders and verbal instructions and may include working at heights, filling surface imperfections, and setting up scaffolding or ladders. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; the company cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Nice To Haves

• Six or more months of experience in an industrial setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and receive verbal instructions.
• Prepare surfaces by removing dirt, oil, grease, and old paint; smoothing cracks; and filling holes.
• Work at heights.
• Fill cavities and dents with putty to create a smooth surface, as needed.
• Erect scaffolding or set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level, as needed.
• Apply paint to surfaces using a brush and/or roller.
• Assist painters with painting equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other work areas using spray guns, brushes, and rollers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
