About the Role We are looking for a Member Acquisition Specialist to provide temporary parental leave coverage for a team focused on growing membership for a consumer mobile app. Although the company operates as a B2B organization, this role is focused specifically on B2C mobile app acquisition. You will help drive new members to the app, including everyday shoppers and creators, by managing and optimizing paid advertising campaigns. This is a hands-on, autonomous paid acquisition role. The ideal candidate has direct experience managing mobile app advertising campaigns and is comfortable working in paid media platforms, analyzing performance, troubleshooting issues, and making data-driven optimization decisions independently. The primary platform is Meta Ads, with additional work across Apple Search Ads and Reddit Ads. The role also requires experience with a mobile measurement partner (MMP) or similar mobile attribution/measurement platform. The team currently uses AppsFlyer. You will be responsible not only for campaign execution, but also for reporting and performance analysis—understanding what campaigns are costing, how they are performing, where opportunities exist, and what changes should be made to improve results. You will work closely with the current role holder during the initial onboarding period and will report directly to the hiring manager once the employee begins parental leave.

Requirements

3+ years of paid user acquisition / performance marketing experience, with hands-on experience managing mobile app advertising campaigns.
Direct experience managing paid advertising campaigns for mobile apps.
Strong hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager.
Experience with a mobile measurement partner (MMP) or mobile attribution platform such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch, or a comparable tool.
Understanding of mobile app attribution, measurement, and post-install activity.
Experience using campaign and attribution data to evaluate performance and make optimization decisions.
Experience managing meaningful paid media budgets, ideally $30K+ in monthly spend.
Strong ability to independently identify problems, investigate performance issues, and determine appropriate next steps.
Experience with budget pacing, campaign optimization, audience targeting, and performance analysis.
Comfortable owning both campaign execution and performance reporting.
Understanding of B2C acquisition (not B2B sales or business development), with a focus on acquiring individual users/members rather than business customers.
Ability to work international campaigns and audiences.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate campaign data into clear, actionable recommendations.
Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision.
Must be Highly autonomous – comfortable owning campaigns and making decisions without constant direction.
Analytical and data-driven – able to look beyond surface-level metrics and understand what the data is showing.
Comfortable working approximately 20 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) on a consistent schedule.
Hours can be flexible.
Must be able to accommodate training and collaboration hours with the team, particularly during the initial onboarding period.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with Apple Search Ads and/or Reddit Ads is strongly preferred; willingness and ability to quickly learn additional platforms is important.
Previous international acquisition experience is helpful but not required.
Experience with AppsFlyer specifically.

Responsibilities

Manage and optimize paid mobile app acquisition campaigns, primarily through Meta Ads.
Support campaigns across Meta, Apple Search Ads, and Reddit Ads.
Monitor campaign performance, budgets, pacing, targeting, and other key performance indicators.
Make hands-on adjustments to budgets, audiences, bids, placements, and campaign settings based on performance.
Identify performance issues and independently troubleshoot and diagnose campaign problems.
Analyze campaign results to understand costs, acquisition performance, and opportunities for improvement.
Use a mobile measurement platform such as AppsFlyer to evaluate attribution and downstream performance.
Monitor app acquisition from ad engagement through downloads, account creation, and member acquisition.
Prepare and communicate performance reporting and insights, including what is working, what is not, and recommended next steps.
Monitor campaign performance across different audiences and markets, including international campaigns.
Understand that performance may vary by market, audience, language, and other factors and make appropriate adjustments.
Work with internal partners to identify creative performance trends and opportunities for new or refreshed advertising assets.
Collaborate with the current role holder during the initial handoff and training period.
Maintain continuity of campaign strategy, reporting, and day-to-day processes throughout the parental leave coverage period.
Support the return transition and knowledge transfer when the current employee returns.
Participate in regular team check-ins, including discussions around upcoming campaigns, weekly performance, priorities, and optimization opportunities.
