Mindrift is conducting an in-person research study examining how people communicate and interact in everyday group conversations. Adults in the Santa Clara Valley (South Bay), California, area are invited to participate in a guided conversation session with a small group of 2–4 people and a trained moderator. Sessions last about 90 minutes and cover everyday, non-sensitive topics. Conversations are recorded on video and audio for research purposes. Participation is voluntary and covered by a signed consent form explaining the study and how recordings are used and stored. Participants may ask questions and withdraw from the study. Eligible participants receive $110 through Mindrift after completing one session; travel costs are not covered. To apply, register on Mindrift and complete a short screening questionnaire. Eligible applicants will be invited to book a session. Research sessions take place on weekdays between November 2026 and March 2027.
