The PACT Representative I role is responsible for seamlessly linking the patient experience between PACT and the practice site by utilizing facility/provider information and established policies and procedures. This role involves assisting inbound callers, making outbound calls when necessary, and escalating complex problems for resolution. The representative will also perform basic technical troubleshooting for online applications and systems. Key responsibilities include scheduling patient appointments, coordinating cancellations and reschedules, obtaining and verifying demographic and insurance information, and ensuring accuracy by updating information as needed. The role also requires identifying emergent calls and transferring them to a Registered Nurse for triaging, adhering to guidelines for emergency situations. The PACT Representative I determines patient needs, routing them for triage, scheduling, or other appropriate actions, and submits medication refill requests for evaluation. Providing excellent customer service according to departmental standards, asking clarifying questions, presenting options, and escalating only necessary situations are crucial. The role also supports organizational marketing efforts by providing information and referrals, and maintaining databases. Additionally, the representative will perform other duties as assigned, maintain knowledge of information systems, and adhere to departmental needs.
