Packing Machine Operator (PMO) CBG 2nd Shift
About The Position
This role involves operating packing machines to ensure accurate weights, seal integrity, and proper seasoning of products. The operator will be responsible for pre-production preparation, machine adjustments, monitoring seasoning flow, manual inspection and packing of bags, assembling boxes, applying labels, and packing cases according to customer specifications. Maintaining a clean work environment and adhering to safety and food quality standards are also key responsibilities. The work environment is fast-paced, occasionally wet and oily, and characterized by energy and teamwork.
Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing or machine operation, or ability to learn quickly.
- Comfortable lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Ability to solve small problems quickly and keep production moving.
- Enjoy working on a team.
- Ability to notice details such as seasoning accuracy and date code completeness.
- Ability to remain organized under pressure.
- Ability to interpret machine behavior.
- Willingness to jump in and help the team.
Responsibilities
- Operate packing machines ensuring accurate weights, seal integrity, and correct seasoning levels.
- Perform pre-production machine setup and on-the-fly adjustments for different product runs.
- Switch out film rolls, adjust formers, and make quick adjustments to maintain smooth production.
- Set and monitor seasoning flow to ensure consistent flavor.
- Manually check, inspect, and hand-pack bags to maintain quality.
- Assemble boxes, apply labels, and pack cases to customer specifications.
- Sanitize equipment and maintain a clean production area.
- Follow all GMPs, safety protocols, and food quality standards.
