About The Position

Responsible for packaging parts for shipment/transport. This role involves measuring, weighing, and counting products, inspecting containers and materials to ensure packing specifications are met, and maintaining accurate records. The Packer will also be responsible for assembling, lining, and padding cartons, crates, and containers, as well as cleaning work areas and equipment. Ensuring the integrity of parts after processing, including visually inspecting for damage or scratches, is crucial. The position requires adherence to supervisor instructions and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Vision (Near, Distance)
Sense of Sound - Able to hear average conversation
Sense of Touch
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Safety Glasses
Standing for long periods of time
Must meet ITAR requirements

Responsibilities

Package parts for shipment/transport.
Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.
Ensure that all documentation is kept with the materials.
Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
Seal containers or materials, using stretch wrap, tape, and other packaging materials.
Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools.
Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
Follow instructions from supervisor pertaining to specific instructions or tasks.
Ensure integrity of parts after processing (damage, scratches, etc.).
Visually inspect parts to ensure the process has been completed correctly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
