About The Position

Market Leader in Aluminum Extrusion is seeking a dependable person to work in our Packing department. Able to stand for whole shift, lift 40+ pounds, and work in a non-air-conditioned environment. Must have good math and measuring skills. A valid driver's license is required to operate a forklift. Overtime and weekends are required during peak/busy time periods. Performance is measured against established productivity goals.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED required.
Able to stand for whole shift.
Able to lift 40+ pounds.
Able to work in non-air-conditioned environment.
Good math and measuring skills.
Valid driver's license required to operate forklift.

Responsibilities

Prepares and packs customer orders for shipment.
Inspects metal and counts pieces.
Packs metal according to printed customer specifications.
Ensures correct count of pieces is displayed on packed bundles.
Works in 2-person teams to handle heavy packing jobs.
Maintains clean and orderly workplace.
Observes safety rules and practices; reports any unsafe acts or conditions to supervisor.
