About The Position

Tomball Controls manufactures custom fuel tanks, sound-attenuated enclosures, and access platforms for emergency power generators. The Packaging role supports production of these power packaging solutions by measuring, assembling, handling, and inspecting materials and products to ensure they conform to engineering or sales specifications. Work includes shop calculations and the use of shop equipment and hand tools. Tomball Controls is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.

Responsibilities

• Measure and compare materials and products, and perform shop calculations to ensure conformance with engineering or sales specifications.
• Use shop materials, methods, and equipment, including sanders, drills, and air- and electric-powered hand cutting tools.
• Fit up and lay out steel materials.
• Position and secure workpieces using hand tools, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Inspect products and equipment for defects or malfunctions.
• Sand and grind materials.
• Break out steel.
• Assemble steel panels using bolt-together construction.
• Handle materials and operate a forklift.
