About The Position

This is an entry-level, full-time Packaging position based at Fastenal’s distribution center at 3939 W 56th St, Indianapolis, IN 46254. The role helps move product through the distribution center to company-owned branches by packaging and fulfilling orders by hand or machine. Work includes counting parts by hand or with a scale, weighing product for accuracy, and properly sealing and packing items for customers and branches. The position may offer a flexible schedule after onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. Fastenal is committed to environmental protection and providing a safe and healthy workplace. Requirements

Proficient written and oral communication skills.
Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer-service oriented.
Strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
Willingness to perform repetitive tasks over long periods.
Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule and extra time as needed.

Ability to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25–50 pounds and may weigh up to 100 pounds.
Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam only).

Responsibilities

Package customer orders by hand or machine.
