About The Position

Asahi Beer USA / Octopi Brewing is hiring Packaging Specialists to operate packaging lines at its Waunakee, Wisconsin facility. Octopi brews and packages beer, seltzers, ready-to-drink beverages, and sodas for clients nationwide and is the U.S. production home of Asahi Super Dry. Packaging lines operate alongside the cellar and brewhouse, moving fresh product from tank to can.

The Packaging Specialist works across bottle, can, variety pack, and kegging lines. The role includes operating and changing over equipment, cleaning in place (CIP), routine maintenance, monitoring packaging runs and quality, and moving product between production and storage. The position is full-time and non-exempt. The base rate is $22.00 per hour; shifts outside first shift have additional differentials. Available schedules include first shift Monday–Thursday, 6 a.m.–4 p.m.; first shift Tuesday–Thursday, 6 a.m.–6 p.m.; second shift Monday–Thursday, 4 p.m.–2 a.m.; and weekend day Friday–Sunday, 6 a.m.–6 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Comfortable standing for more than eight hours in a fast-paced production environment.
• Able to lift 55 pounds and move 165 pounds as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.

Nice To Haves

• Prior machine operation or packaging experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate bottle, can, variety pack, and kegging lines, including changeovers, CIP, and routine maintenance.
• Confirm the correct packaging mix and volume before each fill.
• Record packaging run data and identify process issues.
• Pull samples and take measurements to monitor product quality.
• Safely operate a forklift to move product between production and storage.
