About The Position

The Packaging Operator I efficiently operates packaging lines according to established procedures and customer specifications while meeting quality standards. The role oversees the activities of associates assigned to a specific packing area or product. The operator packages products into bags, boxes, or totes; documents quality checks; reviews product specifications and packaging requirements; tests samples for product mix, labeling, and weight; and follows safety, environmental, and quality guidelines. The position also includes training support, housekeeping, lockout/tagout, basic equipment adjustments and maintenance, and other duties assigned by management. This requisition is for PK1 in Repack on first shift, scheduled Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with pay of $18.95.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform all duties of Packaging Operator II.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Package products into bags, boxes, or totes according to customer specifications.
• Document quality checks and enter the results into the system.
• Read and communicate product specifications and packaging requirements.
• Assist in training new associates and cross-training backup associates.
• Pull product samples and test product mix, labeling, and/or weight against specifications.
• Follow safety, environmental, and quality guidelines.
• Perform all duties of Packaging Operator II.
• Maintain housekeeping around packaging equipment and in the warehouse.
• Use lockout/tagout procedures when clearing jams or performing basic maintenance.
• Make basic adjustments to operating equipment to maintain finished-product conformity to specifications.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
