About The Position

Efficiently operates packaging lines according to established procedures and customer specifications while meeting all quality standards. Oversees the activities of associates assigned to a specific packing area or product.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Package product into bags, boxes, or totes according to customer specifications.
• Document quality checks and enter the information into the system.
• Read and disseminate product specifications and packaging requirements.
• Assist in training new associates and cross-training backup associates.
• Pull product samples and test product mix, labeling, and/or weight against specifications.
• Follow safety, environmental, and quality guidelines.
• Perform all duties of a Packaging Operator II.
• Maintain housekeeping around packaging equipment and in the warehouse.
• Perform lockout/tagout of equipment when clearing jams or conducting basic maintenance.
• Make basic adjustments to operating equipment to maintain finished product conformity to specifications.
