About The Position

Steuben Foods is hiring a Packaging Line Operator for one of three shifts at its aseptic food and beverage manufacturing operation in Western New York. The operator is responsible for food safety and quality while operating and maintaining downstream equipment according to the OS book. The role involves following startup and shutdown procedures, cleaning equipment, maintaining records, keeping the work area sanitary and supplied with materials, and working with maintenance and production colleagues to address equipment issues. The position requires standing for at least 8 hours and working in a hot warehouse environment. The listed pay rate is $20.37 to $21.37.

Requirements

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
Ability to work in a hot warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain all downstream equipment according to the OS book.
Follow startup and shutdown procedures.
Perform intermediate and final cleaning of downstream equipment.
Maintain accurate records, including the downtime log and turn procedures.
Ensure downstream equipment is stocked with necessary materials.
Maintain a clean and sanitary downstream area.
Handle chemicals safely using appropriate PPE.
Ensure only quality packages are placed into trays.
Alert maintenance to equipment malfunctions and work with maintenance to correct issues.
Communicate production issues to Supervisors/Leads and other operators.
Perform other assigned duties.
