Packaging Helper
About The Position
The Packaging Helper performs production and packaging duties for a manufacturer of low-voltage electronics and power supplies. Duties include handling and preparing packaging, inspecting materials and products to ensure they meet packing specifications, and preparing products for transport. The position is full-time and regular, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). The hourly rate is $18.00–$18.50 and may increase after successful completion of the 90-day introductory period. Work takes place indoors in a production environment, with on-site parking available.
Requirements
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, and move items.
- Ability to frequently lift and move heavy and bulky items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
Responsibilities
- Perform production duties including manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling, and sorting.
- Assemble packaging liners and pads using appropriate packaging materials.
- Examine and inspect materials and products to ensure packing specifications are met and products are prepared for transport.
- Perform other work-related tasks as deemed necessary by management.
