About The Position

The Packaging Development Manager directs and manages reliability standards for materials and techniques used in design and production, and oversees research, technical design, and mechanical system and equipment design functions. The role manages product phases from market definition through production and release, and selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to support efficient operations.

The manager leads the site's technical resources responsible for developing and productizing Wolfspeed's power packaging portfolio, including design engineering and process engineering. The role also standardizes development methodologies, drives execution excellence and product-level innovation, strengthens Wolfspeed's visibility as a technology leader in SiC power packaging and power modules, and provides motivational and inspirational leadership to the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical resources at the site responsible for developing and productizing the power packaging portfolio, including design engineering and process engineering.
• Standardize development methodologies.
• Drive execution excellence.
• Drive innovation through technology to the product level.
• Increase Wolfspeed's visibility and recognition as a technology leader in SiC power packaging and power modules.
• Provide motivational and inspirational leadership to the team.
• Direct and manage reliability standards for materials and techniques used in design and production.
• Direct and manage research or technical design functions for electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry.
• Direct and control mechanical system and equipment design functions.
• Manage product phases from market definition through production and release.
• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function.
