About The Position

Central Bakery is seeking a part-time employee for their Packaging Department. The ideal candidate will possess strong active citizenship skills, including building relationships, taking ownership, governing, problem-solving, decision-making, and effective communication. This role involves identifying opportunities and barriers, engaging with stakeholders, and participating in governing meetings to contribute to an abundant and just environment. The position is for a long-term, year-round employee with an interest in bread. On-the-job training will be provided. Job duties cover all aspects of bread production, with a primary focus on packaging.

Requirements

Strong active citizenship skills demonstrated by building right relationships, taking ownership, governing, problem solving, decision-making, and effective communication skills.
Ability to take an active role to identify opportunities and barriers, engage with the proper stakeholder(s) to close gaps.
Participates in governing meetings to help create and sustain an abundant and just environment.
Availability for 24-30 hours/week
Available Monday - Saturday
Shifts between 8am - 5pm
Must be available Wednesdays
Prioritize and work without supervision, a self-starter.
Able to lift/carry 5 to 50 pounds and follow proper lifting techniques.
Needs to be able to push/pull 5 to 75 pounds.
Frequent repetitive motion required including but not limited to reaching, standing, stooping, bending, turning, and walking.
Exposure to cold temperatures (0-40 degrees).
