About The Position

Central Bakery is seeking a long-term, entry-level employee (year-round) for an opportunity to learn scratch bread baking. Multiple positions are available. Candidates must have an interest in bread. Experience is appreciated but not required, as on-the-job training will be provided. Job duties encompass all aspects of bread production. The ideal candidate possesses strong active citizenship skills demonstrated by building right relationships, taking ownership, governing, problem solving, decision-making, and effective communication skills. Ability to take an active role to identify opportunities and barriers, engage with the proper stakeholder(s) to close gaps. Participates in governing meetings to help create and sustain an abundant and just environment.

Requirements

Interest in bread
Prioritize and work without supervision, a self-starter.
Able to lift/carry 5 to 50 pounds and follow proper lifting techniques.
Needs to be able to push/pull 5 to 75 pounds.
Frequent repetitive motion required including but not limited to reaching, standing, stooping, bending, turning, and walking.
Exposure to cold temperatures (0-40 degrees).
