About The Position

The Packaging Clerk prepares, packages, labels, and verifies outgoing materials, products, and shipments. The role ensures outgoing orders meet company quality standards and customer requirements while maintaining accurate documentation and inventory tracking. The Packaging Clerk works closely with shipping, warehouse, and production personnel to support timely and accurate deliveries.

The position is full-time at Morgan Steel LLC in Memphis, Tennessee, with a listed hourly salary range of $18.00–$20.00 and any shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in labeling, documentation, and packaging.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, bills of lading, and material tags.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with other departments.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and lift regularly.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment with noise, dust, and temperature variations.
• Must wear required PPE at all times.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in shipping, packaging, or warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of shipping systems, inventory software, or ERP.
