Case Intake & Packaging Clerk (Entry Level)
About The Position
National Dentex is hiring a Case Intake & Packaging Clerk at NDX Nelson Dental Laboratory in Rochester Hills, Michigan. This is an entry-level, full-time position with regular hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday; hours may vary from time to time. The clerk receives dental cases, disinfects and organizes case contents for data entry, and handles packaging, billing, and invoicing of finished cases. The role also involves customer communication by phone, processing and preparing cases for shipment, maintaining shipping-related databases and supplies, and assisting with other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Computer skills.

- Phone etiquette.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Preferred: high school diploma or equivalent; demonstrated relevant employment experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including sitting, standing, walking, reaching, fine motor or repetitive motions, bending, kneeling, and handling items weighing up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Receive cases from local delivery drivers or national carriers.
- Disinfect and organize case contents into individual case pans and prepare them for data entry.
- Package, bill, and invoice finished cases.
- Assist with answering incoming calls, make outgoing calls to customers' offices, and respond to inquiries from customers' offices.
- Unpack and sanitize new work as needed, following instructions and wearing protective gear.
- Sort and attach doctor prescriptions.
- Pack completed cases; verify and consolidate cases for shipping.
- Use UPS and FedEx software and maintain database integrity and account naming procedures.
- Disburse cases for local drivers.
- Maintain an adequate supply of assembled shipping boxes.
- Perform other jobs as assigned.
