About The Position
BlueScope is seeking a detail-oriented Packager to receive, unpack, check, and store materials and products. The Packager fills orders and packages materials and products to help ensure accurate and timely shipments. Candidates of all backgrounds are welcome, including those with prior experience and those eager to learn.
Requirements
- Keen attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Enjoys hands-on work and working with machinery, or is eager to learn.
- Comfortable working in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
- Values safety, organization, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Assemble customer orders from stock based on pick sheets, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions.
- Position orders on pallets or in crates, using forklifts or other mobile equipment minimally.
- Use hand tools to build and band crates as needed.
- Label and mark packages with identifying information.
- Participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
- Perform housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned.
