About The Position

The Packager processes finished products for customer-specified packaging. The role includes inspecting and counting products, preparing packaging materials, printing labels, assembling and labeling boxes, running product through a metal detector, and documenting completed work orders. The work takes place in a manufacturing-floor setting and may also involve office, plant, or warehouse areas. The environment may be loud and dusty, and may involve temperature changes.

The position is offered on either a first or second weekday shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, or Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Full-time employees working an average of at least 30 hours per week are eligible to enroll in a comprehensive benefit package.

Requirements

• Ability to count product accurately.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to apply logic to a variety of situations to solve complex problems.
• Records maintenance skills.
• Color acuity.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to distinguish fine differences in color, detail, and design.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished products and discard defects.
• Gather packaging supplies and package finished goods according to customer-specified orders.
• Print labels that match packaged finished goods.
• Assemble and label boxes.
• Run product through a metal detector to support food safety standards.
• Count finished products to match specified label quantities.
• Label and case finished products.
• Complete work orders documenting processed finished goods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
