About The Position

Please Assist Me (PAM), a fast-growing apartment task service, is hiring a dependable, detail-oriented Package Room and Delivery Associate. This role supports apartment package room management and warehouse operations by processing, organizing, tracking, and delivering packages efficiently. The associate will work independently and with teammates, follow instructions and procedures, maintain an organized workspace, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The position is listed as full-time at $20 per hour in Chicago, Illinois, while the schedule section also describes both part-time and full-time weekly hour ranges. Working hours are assigned according to business needs, and the role requires flexibility to cover rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, as well as additional hours when operationally necessary. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Previous warehouse, package handling, logistics, inventory, or delivery experience is required.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing work thoroughly.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
Good time management skills and ability to follow established schedules.
Willingness to adapt to changing routines and operational needs.
Ability to use basic technology, scanners, and package tracking systems; training is provided as needed.
Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds and push or move heavier loads using appropriate equipment, as required.
Commitment to following workplace safety, package handling, and quality standards.
Must be flexible to cover rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and additional hours when operationally necessary.

Responsibilities

Receive and log incoming packages in the designated tracking system.
Organize and maintain package rooms so packages are stored safely and efficiently.
Deliver packages to residents’ units when required and assist residents with locating and retrieving packages.
Track and handle packages accurately according to company procedures.
Receive, sort, organize, and store incoming packages and inventory.
Pick, scan, and prepare packages for distribution and delivery.
Load and unload packages and move items between designated areas.
Use scanners, carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move and track packages.
Follow instructions displayed on screens or provided by supervisors.
Identify and report package discrepancies, damaged items, and operational issues.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and package room.
Follow established safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Follow verbal and written instructions and complete assigned tasks accurately.
Work independently while collaborating effectively with teammates and supervisors.
Manage time efficiently and follow assigned schedules and procedures.
Adapt to changing priorities, schedules, routines, and operational needs.
Communicate concerns promptly and contribute to a positive, accountable team environment.
