About The Position

OnTrac is hiring a seasonal Package Handler in Syracuse, New York. This active, hands-on warehouse role involves working with a team to move packages safely and efficiently toward their destinations. Training is provided, and previous warehouse experience is not required. The position is seasonal, part-time, and temporary, with a stated season duration of October 27, 2026, through January 1, 2027. Seasonal team members may be considered for permanent positions after the assignment ends, based on eligibility and availability; continued employment is not guaranteed.

The position pays $17.00 per hour, with weekly pay and a seasonal bonus subject to eligibility and other terms. Premium pay applies to hours worked on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Overtime pay is provided consistent with applicable law. Available shifts run from 4:30 AM to 8:30 AM or until the sort ends, on Sunday through Thursday, Tuesday through Saturday, or Thursday through Monday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be dependable and available for scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays when needed.
• Meet applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check where permitted by law.
• Be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime when business needs require.
• Be able to repeatedly lift packages as described in the posting.
• Be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
• Be able to frequently bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and squat while handling packages.
• Be able to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Be able to work in hot or cold environments where warehouse temperature control may be limited.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload, sort, move, and load packages weighing up to 30–50 pounds independently.
• Participate in team lifts for packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Keep packages organized and moving safely and efficiently.
• Keep the work area organized and ready for work.
• Work with a team to help packages reach their destinations safely and on time.
