About The Position

OnTrac is hiring a seasonal, part-time Package Handler at its Kearny, New Jersey location. The role supports package movement during the holiday season. No prior warehouse experience is required; training is provided. The assignment is scheduled to run from October 27, 2026, through January 1, 2027. Seasonal employees may be considered for available permanent positions after the assignment ends, depending on eligibility and availability; continued employment is not guaranteed.

The position pays $20.00, with weekly pay and eligibility for overtime consistent with applicable law. A $500 seasonal bonus is advertised, although eligibility, amount, and payment requirements may vary by location and assignment. Premium pay applies to hours worked on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. The shift is Friday through Monday, 12:15 a.m. to 6:15 a.m. or end of sort; end times may vary with package volume and business needs. Flexible shift options are also listed among the seasonal perks.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be dependable and available for scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays when needed.
• Meet applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check where permitted by law.
• Be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime when business needs require.
• Repeatedly lift packages as described in the posting.
• Stand and/or walk for extended periods during the scheduled shift.
• Frequently bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and squat while handling packages.
• Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Work in hot or cold environments where warehouse temperature control may be limited.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload, sort, move, and load packages weighing up to 30–50 pounds independently.
• Participate in team lifts for packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Keep packages organized and moving safely and efficiently.
• Keep the work area organized and ready for work.
• Work with a team to help packages reach their next destination safely and on time.
