About The Position

OnTrac is hiring a seasonal, full-time Package Handler in Romeoville, Illinois. This active, hands-on warehouse role involves working with a team to move packages safely and efficiently to their next destination. Training is provided, and previous warehouse experience is not required. The seasonal assignment runs from October 27, 2026, through January 1, 2027; seasonal employees may be considered for available permanent positions after the assignment, based on eligibility and availability, but continued employment is not guaranteed.

The posted pay is $18.90 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour for weekend work (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). The role is eligible for overtime pay as required by applicable law. Shift options are listed as Monday through Friday, with typical shifts of 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.; hours and end times may vary based on business needs and package volume. Employees must be available for scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays when needed, and overtime when business needs require. Premium pay is offered for hours worked on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Seasonal bonus eligibility, amount, and payment requirements may vary by location and assignment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be dependable and available for scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays when needed.
• Meet applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check where permitted by law.
• Be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime when business needs require.
• Be able to repeatedly lift packages as described in the posting.
• Be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods during a scheduled shift.
• Be able to frequently bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and squat while handling packages.
• Be able to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout a shift.
• Be able to work in hot or cold environments where warehouse temperature control may be limited.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload, sort, move, and load packages weighing up to 30–50 pounds independently.
• Participate in team lifts for packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Keep packages organized and moving safely and efficiently.
• Keep the work area organized and ready for action.
• Work as part of a team to help packages reach their next destination safely and on time.
