About The Position

Corewell Health Urgent Care is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to care for patients of all ages. The urgent care group includes more than 60 advanced practice providers and several physicians. Providers are credentialed at multiple locations and typically work at two to three sites. Care is team-based, supported by medical assistants, radiology technicians, practice managers, and access to specialty consultations.

Requirements

• Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant qualification, as care is provided to patients of all ages.
• Nurse Practitioners: Master's degree; for those educated and certified after 2000, completion of a master's, post-master's, or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
• Nurse Practitioners: Three years of relevant, current clinical experience.
• Nurse Practitioners: Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role.
• Nurse Practitioners: Michigan Nurse Practitioner license.
• Nurse Practitioners: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Physician Assistants: Master's degree and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant educational program.
• Physician Assistants: Michigan Physician Assistant license and Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) certification from NCCPA.
• Physician Assistants: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care to patients across the generational spectrum.
• Work at multiple credentialed urgent care locations, typically two to three.
• Collaborate with the urgent care team and consult with specialties as needed.
