About The Position

Corewell Health Urgent Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to care for patients across all ages. The urgent care group includes more than 60 advanced practice providers and several physicians. Providers are credentialed at multiple locations and typically work at two to three sites. Family Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants are required. Care is team-based and supported by medical assistants, radiology technicians, practice managers, and access to specialty consultations.

Requirements

• Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant qualification.
• For Nurse Practitioners: master's degree required. Nurse Practitioners educated and certified after 2000 must provide evidence of a master's, post-master's, or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
• For Nurse Practitioners: 3 years of relevant experience and current, relevant clinical experience.
• For Nurse Practitioners: previous experience functioning in a collaborative role.
• For Nurse Practitioners: Michigan Nurse Practitioner license.
• For Nurse Practitioners: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• For Physician Assistants: master's degree and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant educational program.
• For Physician Assistants: Michigan Physician Assistant license and Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) certification from the NCCPA.
• For Physician Assistants: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care to patients across the generational spectrum.
• Work at multiple credentialed urgent care locations, typically two to three.
• Provide care as part of a team that includes medical assistants, radiology technicians, and practice managers.
• Consult with specialty services as needed in the urgent care setting.
