About The Position

As a Project One Bike Painter at Trek Bikes, you will support manufacturing by applying high-quality custom paint schemes to bicycles. You will work with a team of artists and designers to create customized bicycles for customers. Prior bicycle-painting experience is not required; the position offers an opportunity to learn and contribute to the manufacturing department. The role involves preparing frames, mixing colors, painting custom frames and forks, and inspecting finished work to ensure it meets Trek’s quality standards. The schedule is Monday through Friday on the first shift, with overtime as needed on weekends.

Requirements

• High-end custom paint application knowledge.
• Ability to wear a respirator when painting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and use hand tools for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to perform paint gun and airbrush maintenance; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect paint finishes to ensure they meet Trek’s quality standards.
• Prepare bike frames for painting by buffing, cleaning, and priming as needed.
• Mix paint colors to designated specifications.
• Paint custom Project One signature frames according to specified bike schemes.
• Produce high-quality painted frames and forks.
• Work independently on multiple frames.
