About The Position

As a P&D Driver, you pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally and serve as a regular customer-facing representative of Southeastern Freight Lines. You operate a tractor-trailer in various conditions and handle vehicle operations, including coupling and uncoupling, connecting lines, and adjusting equipment. The role includes inspecting vehicles, loading and unloading cargo, and ensuring transport documents are accurate and compliant, especially for hazardous materials. You must maneuver safely in heavy traffic and tight spaces, report incidents or delays, follow safety regulations and company policies, and provide professional customer service.

Requirements

At least 6 months of driving experience; 1 year is preferred.
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT, Tanker, and Twin Trailers endorsements and no automatic restrictions.
At least 21 years old.
Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English; perform simple mathematical calculations; handle receipts; read maps and road signs; and maintain driving logs.
Detailed knowledge of and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines, including requirements for safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspections, and hazardous-material transportation.
Meet DOT physical qualifications.
Pass alcohol and drug tests.
