About The Position

As a P&D Driver, you pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally and serve as a regular customer-facing representative of Southeastern Freight Lines. You operate a tractor-trailer in varied conditions and perform vehicle operations such as coupling and uncoupling, connecting lines, and adjusting equipment. The position includes inspecting vehicles, loading and unloading cargo, and ensuring transport documents are accurate and compliant, particularly for hazardous materials. Drivers must maneuver safely in challenging environments, including heavy traffic and tight spaces, report incidents or delays, follow safety regulations and company policies, and provide professional customer service.

Requirements

At least 6 months of driving experience; 1 year is preferred.
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT, Tanker, and Twin Trailers endorsements, with no automatic restrictions.
At least 21 years old.
Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and handle receipts.
Detailed knowledge of and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines, including those for safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspections, and hazardous-material transportation.
Meet DOT physical qualifications.
Pass alcohol and drug tests.
