About The Position

Central Market is a specialty grocery that sources a wide selection of food and drink. The Overnight Stocker stocks grocery products according to established merchandising procedures during overnight hours while meeting expected productivity levels. The role works with the Stock Controller to review nightly goals and tasks, maintains an organized department, and follows procedures for product handling, rotation, and storage. It involves moving and stocking products, including heavy or bulky items, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• At least 3–6 months of prior stocking experience.
• Prior experience working as part of a team.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic English reading and writing skills.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and baler.
• Ability to work an overnight schedule.
• Required forklift/power jack training.
• Ability to lift moderately heavy loads up to 75 pounds individually, with potentially heavier loads when team-lifting.
• Ability to push or pull loads of 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and squat; stand and walk for long periods; and perform repetitive hand motions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with productivity requirements.

• Previous customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily with the Stock Controller to review nightly goals and tasks.
• Keep the department clean and well organized, including the back room and shelves.
• Stock shelves, refill displays, and recover the department.
• Follow established standard operating procedures, including proper product handling, rotation, and storage.
• Load, unload, and move heavy or bulky products.
• Work efficiently and meet productivity and production standards.
• Report pallet jack, forklift, or other equipment issues to the Stock Controller or Overnight Operations Manager.
