About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, involves spending most of the shift on your feet, and may include morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight hours depending on store needs. You may also help customers and teammates in a friendly, professional manner. The role supports store operations by unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, organizing backrooms, verifying deliveries, preparing the dock, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Associates may assist customers in finding or loading products. In Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders, rotating them by delivery date, resolving order issues, communicating with customers, and following Delivery Readiness practices. The work environment may include inside and outside conditions, variable climates and weather, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow safe lifting guidelines: single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, with team lifts used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or help from a trained coworker. Regular travel is not required, although occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
Follow safe lifting guidelines, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds and using team lifts minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
Use powered equipment as required with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Nice To Haves

3 months of experience operating a forklift or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
6 months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Bilingual, military, and veteran talent are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
