Full Time - Receiver/Stocker - Overnight
About The Position
As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, moving products to the sales floor, verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and maintaining an organized backroom and workspace. You may also help customers locate or load products and provide friendly, professional support to customers and teammates. This is a physical, fast-paced position that requires attention to detail and safe practices when lifting, using equipment, and handling hazardous materials. Associates spend most of their shift on their feet. Schedules can include morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight hours depending on store needs. Environmental conditions may vary by location and include indoor and outdoor work, extreme heat or cold, wet or humid conditions, wind or drafts, noise, and moving or shaking equipment. Lifting guidelines limit single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment must be used as required, with proper training or help from a trained coworker. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include using the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders accurately and safely, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices. The role does not require regular travel, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
- Follow safe lifting guidelines, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds and using team lifts minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
- Use powered equipment with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Nice To Haves
- At least 3 months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- At least 6 months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
- Bilingual, military, or veteran talent is encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
- Unload freight, stock merchandise, down-stock products, organize shelves, and set up pallets.
- Verify deliveries and complete dock preparation.
- Use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to support store operations.
- Follow procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Operate store equipment including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
- Assist customers in locating or loading products.
- Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders using quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, communicate proactively with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction and execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
