Overnight Stocker - part time
About The Position
The Overnight Stocker is an essential member of Hy-Vee’s overnight crew, keeping store shelves full, organized, and ready for customers. The role includes unloading trucks, stocking and rotating products, tagging shelves, and maintaining an orderly backroom. The position is physically demanding and performed primarily during overnight hours. Training and support are provided; prior experience is not required. The anticipated starting wage is $13.50 to $16.80 per hour, depending on experience. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a pre-employment drug screen.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Clear, friendly communication with customers and teammates.
- Ability to stay organized and keep pace during a busy overnight shift.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 100 pounds or more, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Ability to stand and walk continuously on hard surfaces for extended periods.
- Ability to unload, lift, stock, and rotate incoming truck freight and merchandise.
- Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and helping them find products.
- Help customers locate or reach items and carry heavy purchases, and share customer feedback or requests with the team.
- Unload trucks, open containers, stock shelves, run overstock on risers, and rotate products to ensure freshness.
- Monitor for mis-picked items, product outs, and incorrect deliveries, and report issues.
- Organize stock efficiently and clean and restock damaged items.
- Tag shelves with overstock in the back room and understock drawers.
- Report new or different items to the scanning coordinator for system input.
- Work with teammates to support a smooth and efficient overnight operation.
- Follow Hy-Vee’s dress code, hygiene standards, and company policies.
- Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed.
