About The Position

Provide a safe and secure environment for team members and customers, protect company assets, minimize loss, and assist with maximizing profits. The role includes inspecting the building’s interior and exterior for physical security issues; responding to safety and security concerns; preparing incident and investigation reports; and supporting safe practices and shrink control. The officer also provides customer service, helps control traffic, works with other security officers, and may respond to medical incidents with First Aid, CPR, or AED.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Availability must include Friday night, Saturday night, and Wednesday morning.
One to two years of experience.
SORA Security Guard License required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license required.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong customer service skills.
Knowledge of Bloodborne Pathogen standards.
Basic knowledge of CCTV.
Ability to be flexible in work schedule.
Good oral communication skills.
Excellent work ethic.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety of team members and customers.
Report in-store accidents to the appropriate departments.
Work as a team with other security officers.
Control traffic safely and orderly.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Inspect the interior and exterior of the building for physical security issues.
Ensure company safety and security standards are met to provide a safe shopping and working environment.
Respond to issues requiring First Aid, CPR, or AED.
Prepare incident and investigation reports.
Educate team members in safe practices and shrink control.
Attend and support safety and department communication meetings.
Complete audits as directed.
Administer First Aid or call for medical assistance when needed.
