Overnight Security/Maintenance
About The Position
This role is responsible for maintaining all buildings and equipment throughout the hotel during the overnight shift. The position involves handling guest calls, assisting in laundry operations, and completing preventative maintenance assignments. Requirements
- Must be able to work well with all members of the Engineering Department and all other members of the Hotel Staff.
- Must promote a cordial and caring attitude toward all other department heads.
- Highly motivated self-starter.
- Experience in all phases of mechanical/electrical systems.
- Blueprint reading.
- Ability to communicate with hotel guests.
Nice To Haves
- Appropriate technical schooling would be helpful.
Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs and services in all maintenance related disciplines, including carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, minor electrical, and finish work.
- Prioritize work orders based on urgent requests and established hotel area down times to minimize guest inconvenience.
- Effectively interact with department managers.
- Respond to guest room calls as required.
- Complete all assigned preventative maintenance procedures.
- Perform general cleaning duties in public areas, such as wiping down stairwells, maintaining ash urns, and dusting.
- Assist Room Attendants with supplies and linen needed for guest room cleanings.
- Adhere to hotel safety standards.
- Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by the Manager.
- Assist other departmental craft workers as required.
- Perform all duties required as Fire Alarm Response Team.
- Participate in OSHA/Safety programs and on the Hotel’s Emergency Evacuation Team.
