About The Position

The Overnight Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of all public areas within the facility during the night shift. This includes comprehensive cleaning and sanitization tasks, responding to guest requests, ensuring safety and compliance with company policies, managing cleaning supplies, and collaborating with the housekeeping team. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while also being a team player.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize public restrooms, including replenishing supplies.
  • Vacuum and mop floors in lobbies, corridors, and other public areas.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and decorative items.
  • Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors.
  • Empty trash bins and replace liners.
  • Clean and maintain elevators and stairways.
  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries.
  • Report any guest complaints or issues to the supervisor.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to safety standards.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Replenish supplies in public restrooms and other areas as needed.
  • Notify the supervisor of any supply shortages.
  • Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Assist with special projects or tasks as assigned.
