About The Position

THE PUBLIC AREA ATTENDANT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING CLEAN AND ATTRACTIVE PUBLIC AREA OF THE PROPERTY WHILE PROVIDING ATTENTIVE, COURTEOUS AND EFFICIENT SERVICE TO ALL GUESTS.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently to assist guests
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
  • Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
  • Ascend and descend a ladder.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Nice To Haves

  • Previous in a Hotel Public Areas position preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Use strong customer service and communication skills in all interactions with guests and team members.
  • Clean and organize the hotel property daily, including guest rooms and public areas, by collecting trash, soiled linens, and other items.
  • Prepare guest rooms after checkout by removing waste, handling soiled items, and separating materials for proper pickup.
  • Deliver requested items (e.g., towels, cribs, cots) to guest rooms in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Maintain and restock supplies in guest rooms, public areas, and storerooms; assist housekeeping or perform room attendant duties as needed.
  • Report missing or found items, damage, and maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
  • Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of public areas, including restrooms (checked regularly), floors, windows, glass, doors, furniture, elevators, and fixtures; perform tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and waste removal.
  • Follow all safety and security procedures, conduct routine inspections, and support risk management practices.
  • Assist guests and team members as needed.
