About The Position

The Security Guard will man a guard station and control access to the facility. This role involves monitoring activity around the plant entrance, reporting suspicious activities, and overseeing surveillance cameras. The attendant will also inspect property, monitor crowds, and respond to emergencies by contacting law enforcement or fire departments. Key responsibilities include checking inbound/outbound trucks, monitoring temperatures and fuel levels of reefer trailers, and controlling visitor access to the plant. The role may also involve investigating suspicious activity and performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
Basic computer skills are required.
Authoritative verbal communication skills.
Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.
Ability to obtain security certification.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience a plus, but not required.
Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Responsibilities

Man a guard station and control access to the facility.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
