The Overflow Resident Support – Day Shift role is a part-time position responsible for maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive shelter environment for individuals experiencing homelessness. In this role, staff provide direct support to residents by conducting intakes, monitoring daily activities, enforcing shelter rules, and ensuring safety through regular checks and crisis intervention. The position requires strong communication and de-escalation skills, as well as the ability to balance compassion with accountability and professional boundaries. Staff also document client interactions, coordinate with internal teams using UHMIS, and connect residents with resources that support their path to self-sufficiency.
