About The Position

Essential Cabinetry Group is seeking a full-time Over the Road Driver based in Rockledge, Florida. The driver operates tractor-trailers on long-haul routes across multiple states and ensures freight is delivered safely and on time while complying with federal and state requirements. The schedule is Monday through Friday, and the company tries to get drivers home for weekends. The role involves route navigation, freight handling, vehicle inspections, and maintaining required driving and delivery records.

Requirements

Valid CDL Class A with a clean driving record.
2–3 years of commercial truck-driving experience, especially long-distance route driving.
Ability to confidently operate manual-transmission trucks and tractor-trailers.
Knowledge of GPS navigation systems and logistics cargo-handling procedures.
Experience with freight loading and unloading, including flatbed or tanker loads.
Strong understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and commercial-driving safety standards.
Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks related to loading and unloading.

Responsibilities

Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road routes across multiple states.
Use GPS systems and route-planning tools to navigate efficiently and make timely deliveries.
Stage freight for unloading using proper manual-handling techniques while protecting cargo and complying with safety requirements.
Comply with FMCSA, DOT, and hazardous materials regulations during transportation.
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and operating standards.
Maintain accurate driving-hour logs, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in accordance with legal requirements.
