About The Position

The company is seeking a motivated, professional company driver for a company-owned truck at its Venice, Florida terminal. This is a full-time, W-2, over-the-road position operating nationwide. Drivers are typically on the road for two weeks to 16 days, with the option to stay out longer. Routes run between the Southeast and Northwest; the Northeast is excluded. Approximately 90% of loads require no touch, and driver-assist work is paid extra. Veterans are encouraged to apply. No mandatory vaccines are required.

Compensation is calculated per mile for all odometer/GPS miles, loaded and empty. Average weekly gross pay is approximately $2,000–$2,500, depending on experience. Additional compensation may include extra-stop pay, other bonuses, per diem, and bonuses for clean inspections or exceptional work. Direct deposit is made after the round trip is completed and the driver returns to the terminal; drivers receive a detailed pay report.

Requirements

• Hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Have a current DOT physical.
• Have at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Have experience pulling a 53-foot dry van or refrigerated trailer.
• Speak English.
• Have a TWIC card or obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Have no DOT record or preventable accidents in the past 12 months.
• Have no major violations in the past 36 months, including reckless driving or careless endangerment.
• Have no more than 3 minor violations in the past 3 years, with no more than 2 violations in any 12-month period.
• Have no DUI in the past 60 months.
• Have an overall safe driving record and no positive drug or alcohol tests.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, responsibility, dependability, safety-mindedness, career-mindedness, and optimism.
• Be able to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Not have any disqualifying history listed by the employer: vehicular homicide; an alcohol- or drug-related offense in a commercial vehicle; hit-and-run; motor vehicle theft; driving while a license is revoked; 3 or more chargeable accidents in the past 3 years; or lack of a valid CDL.

Responsibilities
